The Southern Civic Amenity Site works closely with a number of organisations and educational establishments.
Beach Buddies deposits any waste collected from its beach events in the South of the Island at the Southern Civic Amenity Site.
Agreements are in place to support the RNLI, Salvation Army and Manx Anti-Cancer Association whereby each of those organisations receive monies from waste streams deposited at the site.
Some of the walking aids are returned to Nobles Hospital where they can be sanitised and reused. Those not able to be reused are provided to the Crossroads Manx Workshop where they are repurposed into items for sale, such as wind chimes.
Bicycles which are brought to the site are passed on to Castle Rushen High School for one of their classes which teaches pupils how to repair and maintain them.
