New WEEE charges become effective at the Southern Civic Amenity Site on 17 January 2025.
The new charges for non-hazardous WEEE items (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) are as follows.

The new charges relate to changes in the way the UK Government now regulates the cross-border transportation of Electrical and Electronic items, which came into force on 1st January 2025. The contract for WEEE is managed by the Department of Infrastructure and serviced by each of the four amenity sites in conjunction with a DOI nominated contractor.
