Site Works to Commence 19 November 2021 |

The
Southern Civic Amenity Site Board is pleased to announce that works to
improve the layout of the site will commence on 19 November 2021.
Chair
of the Board Mr Alan Grace commented, “The Board has been exploring
options to further improve the operation of the site, which is limited
due to its constraints, location
and accessibility. The Covid pandemic and increased number of site users
has highlighted the need to further improve the traffic management on
site whilst also increasing the different waste streams we are able to
accept and recycle. The former reuse shed will
be removed, along with the three walls within the middle of the site and
the concrete hump by the former composting area.”
Mr
Grace added, “There will be some disruption to certain areas of the
site whilst the works are undertaken, so there are likely to be some
restrictions on waste streams we
are able to accept on a day-to-day basis. Users are advised to check the
website, Facebook page or Twitter or the local radio stations to keep
up to date with any temporary restrictions. Should there be any
temporary restrictions, domestic users are permitted
to use any of the other Amenity Sites.”
